About me
I am an enthusiastic, tech-hungry generalist software engineer with primary focus on backend, architecture, infrastructure and data engineering.
I also specialises in technology research and proof of concepts tailored to a set of requirements.
In my spare time, I enjoy working on my side projects, mainly focused on developer productivity and freelancing. I do love long drives and often seen driving around for no-reason. Recently developed an interest in south-indian cooking and trying out making a variety of dishes.

Have you always been independent? What has your career trajectory been?
No, this is a recent move after being in Canada for ~3 years. I have been working in Application Performance Management domain for the better part of my career, ~12 years (India and US) before moving to Canada. I have been working on data platform and analytics domain and then moved on to customer operations platform.
How do you continue to grow your professional skills?
I constantly try to keep myself updated on new tools and technology that is relevant to my field. I try to learn about them in anyway I can, courses, recipes, videos et. al. I implement them in one of my side projects, because I believe learning by doing.
Currently learning Rust and basics of UX design and putting it to use in two of my side projects.
What is the latest project you completed?
I have been working with Calixa, primarily on backend and infrastructure to build out their best in class, one of a kind Product-Led Growth (PLG) customer operations platform. It was very exciting and fun to work with and the team over there is awesome. Feel free to check it out.
What kinds of projects are you open to?
I love starting backend and infrastructure projects from scratch, hunt and improve performance, doing proof of concepts in new and emerging technologies, setting up custom data pipelines and most of all meeting new people to work with. Though I am language-agnostic, my experience has primarily been with Java ecosystem with little Python, JavaScript sprinkled over. I believe in choosing the right tool for the job, given the constraints if any.
