My name is AJ Hirsch and I am a guitarist/instructor that teaches online through zoom. I started playing guitar when I was 8 years and and I have been in love with it ever since! I started teaching professionally when I was 18 and during the 2020 pandemic I discovered a unique system to online lessons through zoom and so I decided to leave my job as a music store instructor and start One on One Music Academy!
My lessons are unique because I send you customized sheet music, chord charts, song transcriptions, and practice notes in a dropbox folder that you can use in your weekly practice routine. I also send you a link that will allow you to loop sections of the song or exercise, slow it down, gradually speed it up, etc. It is a great asset to have when practicing in a more hands on approach. Virtual lessons are fantastic and better than ever before! Check out my website for more info! :)

No. For the first 7 years of my career as a guitar instructor I taught out of various music stores that had lesson programs. It was during the 2020 pandemic that the music store I taught at went virtual temporarily and I realized that I could do this better on my own and that I enjoyed it much more than in person lessons. So, I left that job and started One on One Music Academy!

Yes! My guitar teacher in high school is the person responsible for me getting hired as an instructor at the store I took lessons from by him when I was 18. I was the only student that went from student to instructor! He and my professors at the Atlanta Institute of Music and Media all acted as mentors to me in my career as a musician and guitar instructor.
