Jay Muhlin

Jay Muhlin is a Rochester, New York–based photographer, visual artist, designer, educator, and founder of Lemon Juice, a visual research and design practice focused on photography, visual identity, websites, graphics, print, and collaborative creative work.

His background spans editorial photography, museum collection imaging, cultural heritage documentation, education, post-production, and project-based design. He has worked with the Philadelphia Museum of Art and the Science History Institute, documenting art, archives, rare books, photographs, scientific objects, and culturally significant materials.

Through Lemon Juice, Jay works with thoughtful organizations and individuals on editorial, commercial, and collaborative projects, especially in science, technology, environment, cultural heritage, education, creative research, and future-facing fields.
