My name is Patrick Davidson, and I've been an independent animator for over 20 years. As a freelancer, I run both Boost Animations and Boost Grafix. I'm currently creating my Expat Animator YouTube series, where I try to help beginners, hobbyists, and independent animators create 2D animations. My personal projects are the animated Web series Traveling Gringos and the animated short film (and later graphic novel) TREP. I also have a degree in graphic design and have worked in the fields of animation, illustration, video editing, print publishing, TV graphics, film titles, and web design. I’m also an ex-pat from California, now living in Costa Rica with my wife and two dogs.

How do you keep the creative fires burning?
