Alexandra Lundahl

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a B.A. in English Writing, and History/Political-Science. From there, I worked as a newspaper reporter and editor in Florida from 2006 through 2014. In that time, I won dozens of writing awards in journalism. I was the editor of the Clearwater Beacon newspaper with Tampa Bay Newspapers for six years, which included writing stories, interviewing thousands of people throughout all walks of life and community significance, editing copy, taking photos, laying out the newspaper, managing freelance writers, and managing numerous ongoing special sections.

Since moving to Columbia, South Carolina at the end of 2014, motherhood steered my career in a different direction. I have written for various blogs, worked as an English as a Second Language teacher for students in China for three years, and volunteered in numerous capacities including as a babywearing educator, Girl Scout leader, and "Cookie Mom," in which I managed tens of thousands of dollars of inventory, managed many schedules and deadlines. Also, throughout the past 13 years, I have worked with clients as a freelance writer on numerous projects, including press release writing, website copy, editing, feature profiles, biographies and profiles, resumes, and longer articles.

Now that my children are getting older, I have more time to refocus on my career and am excited to develop long-term, ongoing clients and help fulfill their writing needs.

My background as a journalist means that I can use my research and interviewing expertise to coherently and expertly write on any subject matter in the desired voice to fit your needs. I don't only have one area of specialty, so I am confident that whatever your project, I can help you!
