Thank you for contacting me. I put this proposal together based on our conversations.

Here are a few quick observations:

  • Lawana Keeley has one very successful gym location and wants to branch out to offer more online classes and open a second location in a nearby city. Specific advice is needed about cash flow forecasting, property purchases, and HR consequences for employing more freelancers to manage the business and expand the online offerings.
  • Tiffany Hummer will review the current business financial position, consult with the owner about the best next steps and the timing of those moves. The HR consequences will also be reviewed to ensure compliance with laws surrounding independent contractors.

As you continue through this proposal, you will see how my Business Consulting services can help you meet your goals and your deadlines.

Why Tiffany Hummer for Business Consulting Services?

For over 20 years, I have been helping businesses transition from single location success to multi-site growth. This is a specific milestone for many businesses and I have been privileged to work with some amazing business owners and directors to help them over this hump.

Here are some testimonials from previous clients:

  • Tiffany Hummer was great to work with. He reassured me about the strength of our initial success and helped us plan a realistic time frame for expansion. In the past five years we have grown from a single restaurant to a small chain of six restaurants across the eastern cities of North Carolina. I can’t recommend him highly enough!
  • Tiffany Hummer is a brilliant professional. He helped us evaluate a possible expansion and property purchase. Thanks to his advice, we avoided a costly money pit and found a much better second location for our sports store chain. We have added a third location since working with him and the business is running smoothly.

My clients value my professionalism, commitment to deadlines, and the results I give them.

Project description

Based on your information, Lawana Keeley runs a very successful gym in one of the satellite towns of Raleigh. The ambition is to open another location in the heart of Raleigh and, eventually, open branches in the eastern, southern, and northern sections of the greater Raleigh area. Online classes are being explored as a way to generate more revenue without adding greater overhead connected to property leases.

During this project, Tiffany Hummer will review some key parts of the business plan:

  • Cash Flow and Assets
  • Strategic Plan for New Locations
  • Business Plan for Online Classes
  • Human Resources requirements for employing more independent contractors as class teachers, personal trainers, and recruiters.

Based on the review of these areas, specific recommendations will be made to help Lawana Keeley choose the best time and order to expand in each of these areas.

As this proposal continues, each of these areas will be explored in more detail. You will see how my Business Consulting services can help you choose the wisest way to expand your business beyond its initial success.

Objectives

Here is the plan for how my Business Consulting services will meet your goals. Let me break down the specific targets and how they will be met.

  • The first main objective is simply to understand your business. During the first few weeks of working together, you can expect for us to meet several times, go over your financial reports, and review your plans for the future. You are already ahead of the game because you sent a written business plan, which is a great sign of organization. We’ll review this together.
  • The second phase of my consulting services will be to examine the specific growth areas in your business plan in great detail. Specifically, I’ll evaluate these things:
  • The current financial state of the business. Current assets, cash flow, and current liabilities will be examined to produce a reasonably accurate picture of how much the business can invest in growth during the next 12 to 48 months.
  • Based on the current financial picture, a major decision has to be made about whether to pursue online classes as the next step while delaying physical expansion, or trying to do both at the same time. We’ll review this together and discover the best course of action.
  • After this choice is made, we’ll plan some reasonable deadlines for expansion and also set some trigger points in place so you can know when it is time to proceed to the next step of the business plan.
  • After the first two steps have been completed, you should have a forward looking plan you can use to grow your business for the next 12-48 months. Further consultations about HR will be conducted to ensure your use of independent contractors complies with HR and tax laws for North Carolina.

Any adjustments to the plans can be made by sending me a message via the Slack channel we set up or by email at tiffany.hummer@gmail.com.

Deadline and deliverables

I am committed to meeting your deadlines and delivering quality work on schedule. Here are the milestones for this project:

  • During the first two weeks, meet at least twice to discuss the current state of the business. The focus of these sessions is to look into the past and present of your business. I want to understand where you are and the journey you took to arrive here.
  • Following those first sessions, we will schedule further consultations to cover your plans for growth. Here is a preliminary schedule of topics for these meetings:
  • Expansion plan review and calibration
  • Evaluation of online versus physical expansion
  • Property review for lease and purchase options in central Raleigh
  • Review of requirements for online class additions
  • Decision-making session regarding online and physical growth
  • After the above sessions, as well as any we choose to add along the way, we should be in a position to put a more detailed 12 to 48 month growth plan in place. I’ll draft this plan and then we will have a session or two to review it together.
  • The final part of this initial consultation project is to review the HR consequences for working with independent contractors. To help you feel confident about your approach, I’ll bring in an HR specialist and we will review our plans with them to ensure we are using the correct contracts, pay rates, and employee/contractor ratios.

My services have a reputation for organization, follow through, and prompt delivery. I take pride in this reputation and look forward to delivering exceptional results for Lawana Keeley.

Payment terms

Projects such as this one carry on for a number of months. To facilitate these projects, I offer a schedule of payments. Here are the payment milestones:

  • The total value for these consultation services is $6000. An initial payment of 25% will be required when the contract is signed.
  • Following this, the remaining balance will be split into three equal payments of 25% each, payable over the following three months of the contract.
  • I will create a contract for this project. An invoice for the initial payment will be sent along with the contract. Work can begin once the contract is signed and the initial invoice has been paid.

A proposed schedule will be sent to you with the consultation schedule outlined. Extra consultation sessions can be arranged. These are billed at a daily rate of $600 per day.

Electronic invoices will be sent once the contract has been signed and milestones passed. Each invoice is payable within 10 business days of receipt. Late payments may result in suspension of work and/or late fees as specified in the contract.

Agreement

Once you agree to this proposal, I will prepare a simple contract for this business project. The contract will reference the terms of this proposal, including any amendments you suggest. If you agree to these terms, please sign below, and return this proposal to me.

Thank you very much. I look forward to working with Lawana Keeley.

Business Consulting Proposal Template FAQ

What is a Business Consulting proposal template?

Using a proposal template is an easy way for you to always have the perfect document at hand when designing proposals. The pre-filled information will save time and make your next submission go much smoother.

In order to create a winning proposal, you should focus on the client's needs and work backwards. This will help them find solutions that meet their requirements while also making their business more profitable.

You can create professional proposals quickly and easily with templates. Designers add attractive design elements to make your whole presentation look amazing. ONce the initial proposal design is finished, creating full versions for your potential clients is much easier.

Once you create a proposal template, every one of your following proposals will have the same high quality design. This is a great way to increase the professionalism of your work and introduce more consistency into your documentation.

How to write a Business Consulting proposal template?

Writing a great Business Consulting proposal isn’t difficult. We will show you how to build your own template in just a few easy steps!

First, you need a few things:

  • You’ll be using a document editor. You could use a separate app such as Word, Google Docs, Adobe InDesign, or Pages.
  • Indy's Proposals tool will save you time. It offers a simpler, yet professional design tool that is great for creating proposals. Once you’re done, the Proposals tool syncs with contract documents to make sure there are no discrepancies when moving forward throughout the process from beginning to the end result.
  • You should also have access to any external files or media you want to include. For example, you will want your logo and pictures of landing pages you have already finished.

Now that you have those things, you can begin writing your Business Consulting proposal template.

To create a strong template, look back at your successful proposals. You can reuse the general content from those proposals in your template. Common elements to recycle include portfolio sections, customer testimonials, and your business terms and conditions.

If you don’t have a completed template, then writing a proposal template from scratch using Indy’s proposal template is easy. Simply create a new template and you are ready to start editing.

Here are the basic steps:

  1. In your new proposal template, add your company information and branding.
  2. Review the sections in the template and add or remove sections as you need them.
  3. Add information to each section. Focus on what you can reuse for every client.
  4. Once you have added all the reusable information, save your work.

That’s it! Your new proposal template is finished.

As you are creating a full proposal, test the template by making note of any information that is missing. When done with your proposal, go back to add it to your template.

What should be in a Business Consulting proposal template?

Business Consulting can be a major advantage for businesses. Bringing a trusted advisor on board can help businesses through big decisions or difficult periods. When you are pitching to these companies, creating a proposal that shows you are experienced, professional, and trustworthy will help you win more clients.

Here are the elements we think you should include in every Business Consulting proposal:

  • Beautiful Cover Page. Business Consulting relies on connecting with customers instantly and building trust. Your cover page should be designed to instantly create a feeling of professionalism and reliability.
  • Service Description. This section is where you outline what your client's goals are and how they can benefit from a successful project. You should lay out the job scope clearly, as well any specific approaches that have been discussed already between these two parties involved in order to ensure success.
  • Business Consulting Process and Milestones. Show your clients what you will do, when you will do it, and what they can expect for your partnership.
  • Social Proof. Consulting can feel like a shadowy job, with clients wondering what you will be doing. Adding customer testimonials to your proposals will really help you build trust with potential clients.
  • Costs and Pricing. Successful proposals highlight value instead of costs. Delay introducing your pricing until you have fully established the value of your services.

From here, you can wrap up the proposal template with next steps the customer can take. These can include:

  • A digital signing service for making the approval process happen much faster.
  • A standard contract your client can review. Your contract can reference your proposal to make the client-specific sections relevant.
  • You can also include a payment method here to help your client get started quickly.

Your proposal should be crafted to meet one goal: convince the potential client you are their best choice. From the first cover page to the last call-to-action, it's about making sure that what they see matches up with how great of an idea this is for them.

How can a free Business Consulting Proposal Template help you win more clients?

The secret to winning more clients as a freelancer is to build your client’s confidence in your abilities. Proposal templates helps you do this in a few ways:

  • You can be certain that if you were to present a proposal for your potential client within twenty minutes of ending the discovery call, they would really appreciate the time and effort. A well-designed template makes this achievable with such little lead time.
  • We all know how much potential clients love beautiful designs. If your proposal doesn't look good, they're going to send it back. Make sure that what's in front of them looks amazing with an attention-grabbing color scheme and clear structure.
  • A proposal template will help you win more clients by freeing up your time. If turning the template into a live presentation takes just fifteen minutes, use that saved energy to go find even more potential customers and make those deals happen.

Those are three ways your proposal template can help you land more jobs. Get started with one as soon as possible to begin reaping the benefits.
