Project description

Based on your information, Lisa Feliciano wants to improve their open rates and click rates for their email campaigns. There are six main product lines, and each one currently features an email sequence to drive sales. These have an average open rate of less than 15% and click rates under 1.5%.

I’ll audit each of your current sequences to pull out critical information and identify the things causing such poor performance. Then, I’ll draft six new email sequences for your product lines. Each one will be monitored for a period of three months. If they are not performing well, then changes will be made until the targets of 25% open rate and 5% click rate have been achieved.

Objectives

Here is the plan for how my email marketing services will meet your goals. Let me break down the specific targets and how they will be met.

  • Each previous email will be reviewed with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) software. An audit for each email will be prepared for your review. As the business owner, your insight to the previous email sequences will be very valuable as we plan the future efforts.
  • Following the initial audit, I will draft all the email sequences for you to review and implement. If some of them seem a little less than ideal, we can easily make a few drafts and implement some A/B testing to find the right messages.
  • Once the email sequences are in place, they will be reviewed every two weeks for a period of three months. Changes will be made as necessary to bring their performance up to the targets.

Deadline and deliverables

I am committed to meeting your deadlines and delivering quality email marketing work on schedule. Here are the milestones for this project:

  • The initial audit will take place during the first two weeks of our contract. The audit will consist of the review of your previous email sequences, totalling 48 email templates across six product lines.
  • A simple report will be presented during the third week of our contract. We’ll schedule a meeting to discuss the report and highlight any key learning points for the future sequences.
  • During the three weeks following our review meeting, I will write all six of the new email sequences. As they are completed, they will be sent to you for review.
  • Once the new email sequences are in place, I’ll review them every two weeks using your mail system data. Changes will be made to any email not hitting its performance targets.

Payment terms

Projects such as this one run for several months before they finish. To facilitate these projects, I offer a schedule of payments. Here are the payment milestones:

  • 25% initial payment due upon signing the contract and before any work begins. 
  • A further 25% of the total will be invoiced once the initial audit and meeting have been finished.
  • The next 25% of the total will be due once the final email sequence has been delivered.
  • Payment of the remaining 25% will be due once the final report is made after three months to signal the end of the contract.

All the email should be optimized during the process. If further optimization is required during the monitoring phase, any extra work will be billed monthly at a rate of $65 per hour.

Electronic invoice will be sent once the contract has been signed and milestones passed. Each invoice is payable within 10 business days of receipt. Late payments may result in suspension of work and/or late fees as specified in the contract.

Agreement

Once you agree to this proposal, I will prepare a simple contract for this email marketing project. The contract will reference the terms of this proposal, including any amendments you suggest. If you agree to these terms, please sign below, and return this proposal to me.
