Introduction

Thank you for contacting me. I put this proposal together based on our conversations.

Here are a few quick observations:

  • Thomas Coto wants to redesign the branding and assets for their restaurant chain. This design work includes applying the design features across all seven New Jersey locations and the restaurant’s online properties.
  • Louis Lattimore will design the imagery, logos, and decorations for the locations and match these designs to the website and apps.
  • The goal is to launch the new designs at the locations and online properties simultaneously during the Easter weekend. Careful planning will need to take place to ensure everything comes together at the same time.

As you continue through this proposal, you will see how my Freelance Design services can help you meet your goals and your deadlines.

Project description

Based on your information, Thomas Coto wants to launch a new image for their seven restaurant locations, main website, and online food order apps. These properties currently have different looks, even though they share a common brand identity.

During the next six months, Louis Lattimorewill design a new brand identity for the physical locations as well as the website and apps. The aim is to have a visual theme that runs through all the properties.

The timeline for delivery and brand reveal is to finish everything and launch prior to the Easter weekend. Succeeding with this timeline means coordinating the design teams and decorators so the final implementation happens concurrently.

Objectives

Here is the plan for how my Freelance Design services will meet your goals. Let me break down the specific targets and how they will be met.

  • The plan is to launch everything simultaneously on Easter weekend. A coordinated development of the physical and digital properties will be required.
  • First, the branding design will be completed. There are just over six months before Easter, so the entire process will be quick. A new brand design will be drafted in the first month of our project. The existing logo will be retained, although the colors may be altered.
  • Second, the digital and physical design teams will be appointed. Louis Lattimorewill oversee their work so the final results match on all properties. The deadline for their work to be completed is one month prior to Easter.
  • 3D modeling of the restaurant locations will be used to test the designs and prepare feedback.
  • The website and apps will be redesigned in a staging environment, so the redesign work will not affect ongoing business.
  • During the final month prior to Easter, the physical installers will be appointed, supplies ordered, and a shutdown plan agreed to complete the redecoration in a very compact time window.

The simultaneous launch of multiple designs and properties will require close coordination. Louis Lattimore will provide project management for the design implementation phase.

Any adjustments to the plans can be made by sending me a message via the Slack channel or by email at louis.lattimore@gmail.com

Deadline and deliverables

I am committed to meeting your deadlines and delivering quality business work on schedule. Here are the milestones for this project:

  • During the first month, all the designs will be drafted with the dynamic visual elements.
  • In the second to fifth months, the digital and physical property designs will be created. These will be highlighted in staging environments so feedback and editing can take place.
  • In the final month before Easter, the implementation of the designs will be planned and all necessary subcontractors will be hired.

My services have a reputation for organization, follow through, and prompt delivery. I take pride in this reputation and look forward to delivering exceptional results for Thomas Coto.

Payment terms

Projects such as this one last for a number of months. To facilitate these projects, I offer a schedule of payments. Here are the payment milestones:

  • 25% initial payment due upon signing the contract and before any work begins.
  • Payment of the remaining 75% will be split evenly over the course of the six months prior to Easter.

Electronic invoices will be sent once the contract has been signed and milestones passed. Each invoice is payable within 10 business days of receipt. Late payments may result in suspension of work and/or late fees as specified in the contract.

Freelance Design Proposal Template FAQ

What is a Freelance Design Proposal Template?

A proposal template can help you write your document in less time and with more ease. Simply fill out the old one by customizing it for each individual client, adding relevant information that will be valuable to them.

Sending your client a professional, well-written proposal will make you stand out from the competition and be miles ahead of any other candidates when it comes time for them to choose who'll work on their project.

Using a professional proposal template will help you create an attractive and well-organized document that includes all the necessary information. This includes examples from previous clients, as well as their positive feedback on other projects to give your client an idea about what they can expect working with you.

By using a template that is identical in design quality across all proposals, you can establish yourself as an expert brand while making a winning impression on clients.

How to write a Freelance Design proposal template?

In just a few easy steps, we will show you how to create your own Freelance Design proposal template.

First, you need a few things:

  • You’ll be using a document editor. You could use a separate app such as Word, Google Docs, Adobe InDesign, or Pages.
  • Even if you have one of those, we recommend Indy. Indy’s Proposals tool is a great way to create your proposal for clients because it integrates with the rest of your workflow and links up to client records while monitoring time spent on each assignment.
  • You should also have access to any external files or media you want to include. For example, you will want your logo and pictures of landing pages you have already finished.

Now that you have those things, you can begin writing your Freelance Design proposal template.

One of the best ways to make a strong proposal template is by looking at an example that's already done well. If you have examples from previous proposals on hand, note what information can be reused and then use those as your guide for copying or rewriting it in the new document. For instance, if there are customer success stories included with the first one: include them when making your new template.

If you don’t have a completed template, then Indy's proposal can automatically create one for you so that all the content is ready to edit.

Here are the basic steps:

  1. In your new proposal template, add your company information and branding.
  2. Review the sections in the template and add or remove sections as you need them.
  3. Add information to each section. Focus on what you can reuse for every client.
  4. Once you have added all the reusable information, save your work.

That’s it! Your new proposal template is finished.

When you use your template to create a full proposal, make a note of anything that is missing. Once you’re finished, go back and add this to your template so it will be ready for the next time.

What should be in a Freelance Design proposal template?

Your proposal template shows potential clients your skills and attention to detail. Most proposal templates include a cover page, description of the work, timeline, portfolio, and a pricing page. You could add extra sections that suit your way of working.

Here are the elements we think you should include in every Freelance Design proposal:

  • Beautiful Cover Page. Your work is all about images, so make your cover page stunning and attractive.
  • Service Description. Describe the project’s work and scope. Include any specific requirements you have already discussed with the client.
  • Freelance Design Process and Milestones. A timeline is a great way to show clients what they can expect from beginning until end. You should use this section in order to construct your project so that it has everything and will not leave out any steps along the way.
  • Social Proof. Build trust in your abilities by showcasing previous projects and work you feel proud of or that are relevant to this project.
  • Costs and Pricing. By now, the client may be considering hiring you. This is the best time to introduce your prices.

From here, you can wrap up the proposal template with next steps the customer can take. These can include:

  • A digital signing service for making the approval process happen much faster.
  • A standard contract your client can review. Your contract can reference your proposal to make the client-specific sections relevant.
  • You can also include a payment method here to help your client get started quickly.

Your proposal should make your client feel like you are the perfect person to hire. Once they reach this conclusion, it's time for one last push by contacting them with a phone call or email in order ask if there's anything else that needs clarification before signing on any dotted lines!
