Marketing Automation Proposal Template FAQ

What is a Marketing Automation proposal template?

A proposal template is a document you prepare in advance with reusable blocks of information to help you write proposals faster. When you are ready to write a new proposal, simply customize the old template with relevant and useful info for your client.

Creating an attractive proposal is a great first step towards winning new jobs and taking on exciting projects. Sending a potential client a clear, attractive proposal puts you miles ahead of the competition.

You can invest time and effort into creating a template for your proposals that will make them look professional. Your proposal should include all the necessary information such as business logos, contact info, etc., along with sections to cover topics like previous clients' positive feedback or examples from other projects you've completed.

Creating a proposal template is an easy way to professionalize your documentation. Every new proposal will have the same level of design quality that establishes your brand and makes a great impression on clients you want to win.

How to write a Marketing Automation proposal template?

Writing a great Conversion Rate Optimization proposal isn’t difficult. We will show you how to build your own template in just a few easy steps!

First, you need a few things:

  • You’ll be using a document editor. You could use a separate app such as Word, Google Docs, Adobe InDesign, or Pages.
  • Indy's Proposals tool is a great way to create your proposal for clients, as it integrates with client records, job contracts and time tracking.
  • You should also have access to any external files or media you want to include. For example, you will want your logo and pictures of landing pages you have already finished.

Now that you have those things, you can begin writing your Conversion Rate Optimization proposal template.

In order to make a strong proposal template, you can start by looking at an existing one for guidance. If your company has previous successful proposals on hand and if they are similar enough in nature that their content will work well with yours (e.g., customer success stories), then feel free to copy all relevant information from those templates into your template.

If you don’t have a completed template, then writing a proposal template from scratch using Indy’s proposal template is easy. Simply create a new template and you are ready to start editing.

Here are the basic steps:

  1. In your new proposal template, add your company information and branding.
  2. Review the sections in the template and add or remove sections as you need them.
  3. Add information to each section. Focus on what you can reuse for every client.
  4. Once you have added all the reusable information, save your work.

That’s it! Your new proposal template is finished.

As you are creating a full proposal, test the template by making note of any information that is missing. When done with your proposal, go back to add it to your template.

What should be in a Marketing Automation proposal template?

Building confidence is vital for getting clients in the competitive Marketing Automation industry. As a professional, your proposal needs to have an attractive design and clear structure.

Here are the elements we think you should include in every Marketing Automation proposal:

  • Beautiful Cover Page. Your cover page is the first thing potential clients will see when they open your proposal. It should do everything possible to make a great impression and leave them wanting more!
  • Service Description. This section is where you describe what your client should expect from working with you. You can include any specific approaches that are based on previous conversations or research.
  • Automation Process and Milestones. In this section, help your client understand what will happen throughout the process by explaining each step. Be sure to explain when you'll be working on something and for how long so that they know exactly where their project is in its lifecycle at all times during the journey.
  • Social Proof. You are beginning to reel in your client, now it’s time to start landing them. Add a portfolio section here and utilize case studies, customer testimonials, and feedback as evidence of the quality work you can deliver.
  • Costs and Pricing. Great proposals are built on selling value, not talking about costs. Don’t move your cost and pricing section to an earlier point in your proposal. Instead, leave it to the end so the client is fully aware of the value you bring to the table.

From here, you can wrap up the proposal template with next steps the customer can take. These can include:

  • A digital signing service for making the approval process happen much faster.
  • A standard contract your client can review. Your contract can reference your proposal to make the client-specific sections relevant.
  • You can also include a payment method here to help your client get started quickly.

Your proposal will send a message of professionalism and dedication to the work you do. From its stunning cover page, all the way down to payment options at the back it is clear that your clients can rely on you for their needs as well as have access to services beyond those listed in your proposal should they need them later.

  • You should invest time into a template that is professional and appealing. When it’s time to finish your proposal, you will be rewarded by clients impressed with the quality of work you do.
  • You can also make time for prospecting for new work. Using a proposal template could save you thirty minutes or more when it’s time to create a new proposal. Make the most of this time and go find some more leads.

  • Payment of the remaining 25% will be due once the final weekly report is made to signal the end of the contract.

All the pages should be optimized once during the process. If further optimization is required during the monitoring phase, any extra work will be billed monthly at a rate of $65 per hour.
