Social Media Proposal Template FAQ

What is a social media proposal template?

A social media proposal template is a preformatted document that is ready to develop into a complete proposal. It contains sections about your business, your offer, and the reasons you are the best choice. You can complete the template by adding specific information about the project you would like to bid for.

Why should I create a social media proposal template?

A social media proposal template will save you time and ensure your documents have a consistent look and feel. When you are ready to develop a proposal for a new event, a preformatted proposal will save you time spent adding information you use repeatedly. Developing a template also means your documents will always include your logo, branding, and company colors.

How do I write a social media proposal template?

Creating a template is a simple process. Here are the basic steps:

  1. Launch your preferred editor, such as MS Word, Google Docs, or another choice.
  2. Add your company information and branding.
  3. Insert as many blank sections as you need, leaving space for data entry later.
  4. Make your template attractive with nice visual elements.
  5. Save your work as a template file or a generic file you can use again.

What should be in a social media proposal template?

Every proposal should have some common sections, including these:

  • Company logo, branding, and contact information
  • Project overview
  • Scope of work
  • Timeline
  • Services or product breakdown with quantities and prices
  • Total project cost
  • Terms and conditions

Social media proposals also need to include the social media channels you will work on, the duration of the project, any specific targets (mentions, links, posts, etc.), and a non-compete statement.

Besides these, you can include a cover letter, customer references, and a page about your company or services.

Can I use your social media proposal template?

Absolutely! You can use our social media proposal template to jumpstart your proposal creation process. By starting with a template, you save time because the layout and required sections are prepared for you. All you need to do is add relevant information about your company, services, and project.

Can I edit your social media proposal template?

Yes. All our templates are fully editable. You can add, remove, or change sections in just about any way you wish. Adding your business information and branding is done through a wizard and takes seconds. Finishing your social media proposal will take a little more time, but the editing process is simple thanks to our easy-to-use template.

Project description

You introduced yourself to the client. Now, it’s time to show them you understand what they need and can deliver it for them. Write a paragraph or two in your proposal about the services they need and how you can deliver them.

Based on your information, {CLIENT NAME} needs to increase your audience by 175% in the next 180 days. We can achieve this by publishing new content and engaging with visitor comments, feedback, and requests for information. Speaking with one voice across your social media channels will increase customer engagement and brand recognition.

My previous clients have seen an average of 45% audience growth per month with a corresponding increase in engagement metrics.

Objectives

In this section, you can be even more specific about your services. Your proposal can include specific targets to be met, software and equipment to be used, and reporting structure can be included. Cost and deadlines will be covered later.

Here is the plan for how my freelance services will meet your goals. Let me break down the specific targets and how they will be met.

  • We will prepare a publishing plan and schedule for each of your social media channels.
  • Each page will be monitored for user comments and feedback. As engagement increases, appropriate responses will be implemented to develop a positive brand image.
  • Results will be monitored and progress reports sent on a weekly basis to help you understand the growth and development of your audience and social media presence.
  • Weekly reports will be sent to {CLIENT NAME} to highlight progress and flag up any issues that should be addressed.

Any adjustments to the plans can be made by sending me a message via the Slack channel or by email at {YOUR EMAIL}.

I am committed to meeting your deadlines and delivering quality business work on schedule. Here are the milestones for this project:

  • Each social media channel will be audited with an action plan within the first two weeks of starting the project.
  • Audits and action plans will be delivered as PDF files. Each one will be set up with a file sign-off system to track the progress of the documentation.
  • The approved action plans will all be implemented within four weeks of launching the project.
  • Weekly reports will be produced for a period of six months from the start of the project. These will be sent as PDF files to {CLIENT EMAIL ADDRESS}.

My services have a reputation for organization, follow through, and prompt delivery. I take pride in this reputation and look forward to delivering exceptional results for {CLIENT NAME}.

Payment terms

Structuring your payments is important for your cash flow and the client’s clarity. List specific payments and dates in your proposal to avoid any confusion. You should also include details about any extra work or extra charges for your services.

Projects such as this one run for several months before they finish. To facilitate these projects, I offer a schedule of payments. Here are the payment milestones:

  • 25% initial payment due upon signing the contract and before any work begins.
  • A further 25% of the total will be invoiced once the action plans have been approved.
  • The remaining 50% of the total will be paid in five equal installments during the final five months of the project.

Electronic invoices will be sent once the contract has been signed and milestones passed. Each invoice is payable within 10 business days of receipt. Late payments may result in suspension of work and/or late fees as specified in the contract.

Agreement

Once you agree to this proposal, I will prepare a simple contract for this project. The contract will reference the terms of this proposal, including any amendments you suggest. If you agree to these terms, please sign below, and return this proposal to me.

Thank you very much. I look forward to working with you.
