Project description

Based on the information you have given me, Lisa Feliciano needs to increase revenue by 3% over the next three months. You want to achieve this by optimizing your website’s usability to boost your conversion rates by an average of 5% on your product pages. Lisa Feliciano offers excellent products at reasonable prices, so the conversion rates are probably being affected by the usability of the website rather than the products on offer. Jonathan Gibson will review the website and make changes as necessary to meet your conversion rate targets.

Conversion rate optimization is one of the services {YOs clients have seen increases between 2% - 4% during our projects.

Here is the plan for how my business services will meet your goals. Let me break down the specific targets and how they will be met.

  • The website will be reviewed with Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) software. An audit and action plan will be prepared for your review.
  • The website will be improved based on the approved action plan.
  • Results will be monitored over a period of six weeks using Google Analytics and Data Studio.
  • Weekly reports will be sent to Lisa Feliciano to highlight progress and flag up any issues that need to be addressed.

Any adjustments to the plans can be made by sending me a message via Slack or by email at jonathan.gibson@gmail.com.

Deadline and deliverables

I am committed to meeting your deadlines and delivering quality UX work on schedule. Here are the milestones for this project:

  • The website will be audited with an action plan within the first two weeks of starting the project.
  • Audits and action plans will be delivered as PDF files to be signed-off and tracked.
  • The approved action plans will all be completed within six weeks of launching the project. All work will happen within the CMS of Lisa Feliciano.
  • Weekly reports will be produced for a period of six months from the start of the project as PDF files to skaggsalphabeta@gmail.com.

My services are highly regarded for organization, follow-through, and prompt delivery. I take pride in this reputation and look forward to delivering exceptional results for Lisa Feliciano.

Payment terms

Projects such as this one run for several months before they finish. To facilitate these projects, I offer a schedule of payments. Here are the payment milestones:

  • 25% initial payment due upon signing the contract and before any work begins.
  • A further 25% of the total will be invoiced once the final audit and action plan have been approved.
  • The following 25% of the total will be due once the final page has been optimized.
  • Payment of the remaining 25% will be due once the final weekly report is made to signal the end of the contract.

The website should be optimized once during the process. If further optimization is required during the monitoring phase, any extra work will be billed monthly at a rate of $65 per hour.

An electronic invoice will be sent once the contract has been signed and milestones passed. Each invoice is payable within 10 business days of receipt. Late payments may result in the suspension of work and/or late fees as specified in the contract.

Once you agree to this proposal, I will prepare a simple contract for this UX project. The contract will reference the terms of this proposal, including any amendments you suggest. If you agree to these terms, please sign below, and return this proposal to me.

Thank you very much. I look forward to working with Lisa Feliciano.

UX Proposal Template FAQ

What is a UX proposal?

A UX proposal usually includes product goals, project scope, milestones, pricing, and terms. These sections of the proposal should contain all necessary information to show clients that you understand their needs and are capable of carrying out their project vision.

As a tech or experience professional, the UX proposal is your first point of solid contact with potential clients.

It shows that you can communicate with clients and start conversations about their unique business needs. It also mentions your own development skills and achievements, as well as how those qualities will benefit the client.

Well-designed proposals for user-friendly systems strike the right balance between convincing clients to hire you and setting realistic expectations. This can be a difficult line to walk.

When it comes to creating an effective UX proposal, approach and rationale are crucial. To increase your chances of landing a partnership with your potential clients, you should use your freelance experience and background to create a UX proposal template that you can use to streamline future freelancing proposals of the same type.

When you're ready to present your UX development strategy to a potential client, you'll need to outline your content and/or production ideas in the form of a formal proposal—in order to create a functional document that also reflects the look and feel of your brand, you'll need to use the suite of editing tools supported by your preferred document development software. Explore the various options for creating proposal templates while keeping in mind the specific needs of your freelance business as well as the UX needs of your current clients.

Depending on the level of functionality you expect from your document development technology, your chosen editing program should provide you with the tools you need to create a basic UX proposal template that accurately reflects your brand while also clearly and concisely organizing all of the key elements of your UX development strategy. This is the most effective way to show potential clients that you provide valuable services that can help them improve their current business processes.

We at Indy are in the business of making freelancing workflows easier for our clients. It's critical for you to accurately communicate the scope and style of your work to clients as a freelancer, and the most common way to do so is through a formal business proposal. By utilizing a business proposal template by Indy, freelancers gain access to a powerful tool that allows them to accurately and clearly communicate their thoughts to clients, as well as the fees associated with each component of the proposal plan.

A document development program such as Microsoft Word or Google Docs will be a manageable and affordable option for freelancers who prefer the ease-of-use of a word processor for the creation of their digital proposals. With the basic customization tools available in both of these programs, freelancers can quickly and easily brand their documents with a custom color scheme and font family of their choosing. Customization is an important part of the document creation process if you want to accurately capture the look and feel of your freelancing company.

Contractors can also use the cell-based organizational features of popular spreadsheet software such as Microsoft Excel or Google Docs to streamline the proposal-writing process, which can save time and money.

How to write a UX proposal?

Your UX proposal template should include the key components of your plan for approaching the development of the UX system early in the proposal before branching off into more focused sections to fully describe your process and the levels of services associated with your UX development workflow to a potential client.

The next step in creating your UX proposal will be to create content that explains your UX development workflow and process in greater detail. Keep in mind that the goal of your UX proposal is to show that you understand the system and/or networking requirements of the potential client as well as your project vision.

It's a fine line to walk between gathering enough information to craft a persuasive proposal and simply doing a client's work for free. However, you'll need some specific insights from the client in order to put together a truly solid proposal.

Here are some specific questions to help you better understand the project's needs:

  • How does the client envision the UX system fitting into their long-term plan? What role do they see the UX system playing in the next five years? How about ten years?
  • What is the UX’s purpose in terms of solving a business problem, and does it go about achieving this goal?
  • How will the system address user needs?
  • Who is required to participate in this project, and what is their role?

Getting this basic information from the client will help you develop the core of your proposal, ensuring that it is tailored to the client's needs rather than being a boilerplate.

If your UX proposal is poorly written, you might not get the job. Worse, it might get you a job, but it'll be a nightmare with ambiguous parameters, development headaches, and unmet expectations.

Before you start developing a UX system or plan, you must first figure out what the client wants. What is the reason for the client's desire for a new UX system in the first place? What exactly do they hope to achieve with it? Is there a link between the What and the Why? For a network to be successful, it must have a clear high-level purpose. Determine in detail how the system will be a solution to a business issue.

After you've identified the business problem that the UX system is supposed to solve or improve, make sure the proposal focuses solely on solving it.

You can start designing a proposal template that you can use to streamline future proposals of the same type after you've typed out the actual content of your UX proposal, making sure that each subsection effectively covers all major components of your workflow, processes, and creative ideas.

With an Indy business proposal template, freelancers can start the proposal process with a step-by-step guide in front of them, ready to be filled in with all of the proposal's essential components based on the needs of the specific freelancer, client, or industry. Freelancers can use these role-specific templates to create a UX proposal that is elegant and clear while still highlighting all the important parts of the outline.

What should be in a UX proposal?

An UX proposal is a crucial document that details the workflows, processes, and professional direction for your next freelance UX development project. A strong UX proposal is often the deciding factor in whether a potential client will invest their time and resources in you as a business partner. As a result, knowing the key components of any UX process or system, as well as a complementary proposal, is critical.

The following key elements are frequently found in effective UX proposals:

  • the problem the UX system is suppose to solve, or issue that it makes easier
  • the target user base
  • how the system will be developed and hosted, and in what format
  • how the newly developed system will make revenue for the developer

As you continue to create UX proposal templates for future proposals, you'll gain a better understanding of your workflow's strengths and weaknesses. You'll be able to provide more detailed, descriptive overviews of your proposed project and services with these details. Thanks to your UX development templates, you'll be able to provide a more accurate scope of proposed work to potential clients.

The following section of your UX proposal template should clearly define your UX development strategy. How are you going to bring the potential client's professional vision to life for mobile as a freelance tech or UX professional? Your UX proposal template should strive to answer this question clearly and confidently right from the start. As a result, your proposal should improve your chances of landing the project opportunity. This section of your proposal should also include details on the software and design you intend to use to create the UX-compliant system.

Outline the goals you want to accomplish with your UX development project. Use this section to tell the potential client what you plan to deliver by the end of the project. In this section of the UX proposal template, the following elements should be highlighted:

  • timeline scheduling for production
  • systems and workflows
  • costs
  • client satisfaction
  • post-project goal achievement and engagement

If you list your business objectives in your UX proposal template with those factors in mind, you'll be able to craft a proposal that meets your potential client's needs before they have a chance to identify them. Strive to be proactive throughout the writing and planning processes when creating proposal materials.

Finally, an overview of your established timeline will be one of the most important components of your UX proposal template. You can demonstrate to your potential business partner the proven benefits of your one-of-a-kind service, which should be backed up by your previous clients and projects, by presenting your UX proposal plan to the client in chronological order. It can be difficult to manage a project with multiple moving parts while also aligning various artistic development responsibilities with your proposed timeline. A project timetable is a useful tool for freelancers to plan bulk tasks and keep the project on track.
